Pendleton Cattle Barons is thrilled to bring back our Rawhide Braiding Contest. We recognize that rawhide braiding is a staple for cowboy gear and a genuine work of western artists. We would like to thank you for considering our contest to show off your best work. Please be sure to read through the contest rules and submission information below. The sky's the limit lets have some fun with this.  Please send the pieces you are proud of. We would love to show them off.    

Submission Information:

Original pieces only please! Up to two artists per entry. To enter please submit anything braided with at least half the time spent making is made of Rawhide and 4 strands or more.  The sky's the limit lets have some fun with this.

 

Deadline: April 10, 2024. Entry fee: $100

 

If you choose not to enter online: When you send your entry you will need to have a short bio, the show piece, information, address to be shipped home, display, and this year a website or facebook contact to connect online.

If you are not attending: please have your piece to me by April 10th 2024. Your entry will be shipped back to you after the show. If you would like to ship to the next show please specify that. Also we would like to know if they are forsale or not and a price.  

 

Awards:

Beyond bragging rights, awards are:

1st place: Coat + $$

2nd place: Coat + $

3rd place: Coat

 

Entry Fees:

For all classes entry fee will be flat $100.00. Fees are due with original entry form and are non-refundable. Artists with entry in the show get $25.00 off a trade show booth and need to be booked by March 1st. Trade show booths may be booked by contacting missyfairbank@msn.com . Please make your check payable to Pendleton Cattle Barons. If attending, you will also receive one free stock saddle bronc ticket and one free ranch branding ticket when you arrive at the show. There are discount rooms at local hotels. For more information on lodging, please contact Pendleton Chamber of Commerce at www.pendletonchamber.com.

 

Shipping and Insurance:

It is recommended that you insure your work in shipping and on location. Items will be attended at all times during the show. PCB is not responsible for damage or loss from any cause.

 

Commissions: Commission fee is 20% on all sale items.

 

Dates to Remember:

April 10: Deadline for fees and application and your item sent to us

May 3-4: Show is open for viewing and sale

May 4: Awards given before Western Select Horse & Dog sale.
